Ingredients:
- 1 pizza dough
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 1/4 cup cooked bacon bits
- 1/4 cup diced bell peppers
- 1/4 cup diced onions
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 425F 220C
Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a circular shape, about 12 inches in diameter
Transfer the pizza dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone
Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges for the crust
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce
Create four wells or indents in the cheese for the eggs to sit in
Carefully crack an egg into each well
Sprinkle bacon bits, diced bell peppers, and diced onions evenly over the pizza
Season with salt and pepper to taste
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the egg whites are set but the yolks are still runny, and the crust is golden brown
Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves
Slice and serve hot
