Spicy Brown Sugar Dry Rub

A mouthwatering Spicy Brown Sugar Dry Rub that adds a perfect balance of sweetness and heat to your smoked meats. Ideal for chicken, pork, or beef.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup paprika
  • 2 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions:

In a bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, kosher salt, black pepper, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper

Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined

Pat the meat chicken, pork, or beef dry with paper towels, then generously rub the dry spice mixture onto all sides of the meat

Allow the rubbed meat to sit for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors infuse

Preheat your smoker to the desired temperature usually around 225F to 250F

Place the meat in the smoker and cook until it reaches the desired internal temperature for the specific type of meat you are smoking

Once cooked, remove the meat from the smoker, let it rest for a few minutes, and then slice and serve
