Ingredients:
- 3 lbs pork shoulder, trimmed and cut into chunks
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 1 onion, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
Instructions:
Put the pork shoulder, pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, onion, garlic, ginger, black pepper, and 1/2 cup of water in a slow cooker
Cover and set the heat to low
Cook for 6 to 8 hours, or until the pork is soft and falls apart easily
Make a slurry with cornstarch and 2 tablespoons of water in a small bowl
Add the slurry to the slow cooker and stir it around
Cook on high for another 30 minutes, or until the sauce gets thicker
Place hot on top of noodles or rice
