Slow Cooker Chicken Tikka Masala

This slow cooker chicken tikka masala recipe brings together tender chicken pieces in a creamy and flavorful tomato-based sauce infused with aromatic spices. Its an easy and convenient way to enjoy this classic Indian dish without much fuss.

Ingredients:

  • 5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 can 14 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish
  • Cooked rice or naan, for serving

Instructions:

Chicken, yogurt, onion, garlic, ginger, tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, cumin, paprika, garam masala, turmeric, coriander, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper should all be put in a slow cooker
