Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup green beans, trimmed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Add garlic powder, salt, and pepper to chicken breasts to season them
Warm up the olive oil in a big pan over medium-high heat
Season the chicken breasts and add them to the pan
Cook for about 4 to 5 minutes on each side, until both sides are browned
Take the chicken out of the pan and set it aside
Put rice and chicken broth in the same pan
Bring up the temperature
Turn down the heat, cover, and let it cook slowly for 15 minutes
Add the green beans and chicken breasts, then mix everything together
Cover and keep cooking on low heat for another 10 to 15 minutes, or until the rice is done and the chicken is no longer pink in the middle
Add shredded cheddar cheese on top of the chicken and rice
Put the lid on top and wait two to three minutes for the cheese to melt
Enjoy while hot
