Ingredients:
- 8 oz white cheddar cheese, shredded
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup pomegranate arils
- 1/4 cup toasted almonds, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh sage leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded white cheddar cheese and softened cream cheese
Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper
Mix until well combined
Form the mixture into a ball and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up
While the cheeseball is chilling, heat a skillet over medium heat
Add fresh sage leaves to the skillet and cook until crispy, about 1-2 minutes per side
Remove sage leaves from skillet and let them cool on a paper towel-lined plate
Once the cheeseball has chilled, roll it in chopped toasted almonds until coated
Arrange crispy sage leaves and pomegranate arils on top of the cheeseball for decoration
Serve with crackers or sliced baguette
